Your role

Our teams are growing, and we are looking for additional skilled and experienced employees for our sections within Electrical Installation Design. We are responsible for the electromechanical integration of systems in our flying products Gripen, T-7, and other vehicles. You will be offered a job with varied tasks where you can contribute your knowledge and expertise. You will be part of a design team that covers all system installations within mechanics, electrical systems, and electrical schematics. Since the systems are present throughout the aircraft, we have very close cooperation with other areas, thus creating a broad product knowledge and network within the organization. We also collaborate with other business areas within the group. You will join a team that appreciates each other's differences and strives to create an open culture characterized by respect and acceptance.

As a designer, your main tasks will include:

• Designing wiring and mechanical parts in CATIA V5 or NX, from concept to finished product.
• Close communication within Systems Installation Design and with adjacent areas such as Hull Construction, Structural Analysis, Industrialization, and Production.
• Studies for the introduction of new functionality in our existing products and new concepts.
• Support to production and our customers with operational aircraft.
• Improvement work, part of our daily efforts to become more efficient.

Your profile

We are looking for experienced and senior designers who thrive in a dynamic and technically advanced environment. You have a solid background in design and product development and are used to taking responsibility in complex projects. With your expertise and analytical skills, you contribute to innovative solutions and technical advancements.

As an experienced designer, you are a structured and solution-oriented person who sees the big picture and is happy to share your knowledge with colleagues. You have a natural ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both within the team and in the organization. Your creativity and interest in product development are something you spread to your surroundings, as well as your commitment to developing our team and our operations.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Several years of experience in design, product development, or related technical fields.
• Relevant education such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Solid CAD experience, preferably in CATIA V5.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in wiring design or mechanical design.
• Interest in taking on a technically leading role in the future.
• Background or interest in aviation and the aerospace industry.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
