Our Operations

Clinical microbiology is one of the five sections of Academic Laboratory. With its 120 employees, the section has an operation that, in addition to a broad and growing microbiological diagnostics, also includes teaching, research, and development work. The operation is accredited according to ISO 15189 and environmentally certified according to ISO 14001.

Your Mission

We are looking for biomedical analysts for the Microbial Serology department at Clinical Microbiology. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day, and service may occur during holidays. Your main task is laboratory work focusing on the analysis of microbiological patient samples. Together with other professional categories, including specialist doctors and microbiologists, we work with daily operations and development work.

At the serology department, we analyze various types of patient samples to detect antigens and antibodies against viruses and bacteria using automated analytical instruments and manual methods.

As we are an accredited operation, everything we do is permeated by quality assurance and traceability, which places high demands on accuracy. Introduction and training are planned based on your experience and education. Competency certificates are issued after assessment of your theoretical and practical competence.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed biomedical analyst or have a relevant university degree with theoretical and practical experience in microbiological laboratory work. Previous work at an accredited clinical microbiological laboratory is particularly meritorious. You have experience in serological diagnostics and are knowledgeable in LIMS systems such as CGM Analytix.

Your Competence

We see that you are a team player who is solution-oriented. The work is characterized by constant development, which requires that you thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. It is important that you are stress-resistant and flexible in the face of change. During periods of high workload, you are expected to maintain focus, show great commitment, and actively support your colleagues as needed.

The selection for the position is based equally on your personal qualities as well as your theoretical merits.

Other qualities that we value highly are the ability to independently plan your work, make assessments, and make your own decisions. To succeed in independent work, it is crucial that you have good communication skills. You should be able to collaborate with various professional categories, both internally and externally. The position requires good knowledge of written and spoken communication in Swedish.

We Offer

We offer a fixed-term full-time position for one year with the possibility of extension. Start date is February 16, 2026, or by agreement. References will be taken if necessary.
