Your mission

As a biomedical analyst at the forensic unit in Uppsala, you will be responsible, together with a colleague, for the forensic laboratory at the unit. You will work independently on the ongoing routine operations, performing histopathological work such as preparation, sectioning, block production, and packing and sending slides for staining of microscopic preparations done at other units. You will also be responsible for equipment and maintain contact with service technicians as our operations are accredited. The work also includes participating in the development of the forensic operations. Other tasks related to the operations may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed biomedical analyst (license must be obtained by the application deadline)
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

Meritorious

• Relevant knowledge in histopathology

You are quick to learn and follow established routines, decisions, and policies. Our operations are characterized by quality assurance and traceability, which places high demands on accuracy. In addition to good collaboration skills, you also have a strong initiative and act independently within the framework of regular work.

Employment

We offer a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period at the forensic unit in Uppsala. Start date by agreement. The agency's units are located in various locations in Sweden, so travel may occur as part of the job. RMV applies individual salary setting.

Upon employment at the National Board of Forensic Medicine, there may be an obligation to be placed in a war position.
