Your Responsibilities

Are you a person with experience in elderly care and driven to provide care, support, and assistance based on individual needs? Then the position as a care assistant/certified nursing assistant at Ekbacken Nursing Home might be for you!

We are now looking for three new colleagues at Ekbacken Nursing Home who want to become part of our community. The positions are permanent with a workload of 60-100%. For one of the permanent positions, the working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends. For the other two positions, the working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

With us, you will work to meet the individual needs of our clients. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our clients. You will work to create opportunities for social interaction and participate in various social activities. The position includes various care tasks, such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions. We work based on IBIC (individual's needs in focus) with the individual's best interests at heart. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, where we focus on the healthy and draw out the person's own abilities.

In this position, you will have the opportunity for development in your role, and you will be assigned to be a contact person for some of our clients. This means that you will participate in welcome conversations where you plan support measures together with the client. You will be responsible for the client's implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your Workplace

Ekbacken Nursing Home is located near nature in the southern districts with good connections to central Linköping. Nearby, you will find Ekholmen's center and beautiful walking paths for recreation. The facility has three pavilions with a total of 56 places. Three of the apartments are so-called doubles and are intended for couples who wish to live together. Adjacent to the apartments are common areas such as a kitchen and living room with a large balcony. This position means that you will work in all three pavilions.

With us, we put extra effort into activities for our residents. We organize various offerings every week, and the residents participate based on their needs and interests. We have the privilege of having a leisure center that is open every weekday and offers a varied program with everything from walks, reading aloud, seated gymnastics, baking, film screenings to pub and sing-along evenings once a term.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a completed upper secondary education, preferably as a certified nursing assistant, as well as experience in support, care, and assistance. To have good prerequisites with us, it is desirable to have experience and knowledge of working with individuals in somatic care, dementia, and palliative care. It is an advantage if you have experience with the IBIC method, a salutogenic approach, and knowledge of low-arousal responses. We consider it a given that you take delegations such as medication, insulin, and feeding tubes.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of client contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You should be able to use digital tools in your work, and we want you to have previous experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.

This recruitment includes a language test. Upon employment, you will need to present a criminal record from the police.
