Psychologist at Försvarshälsan Kvarn

Försvarshälsan Kvarn is seeking a psychologist to meet the needs for support for an increasing number of conscripts, cadets, and employees in a growing authority.

Försvarshälsan is an integrated occupational health service with the Swedish Armed Forces as the client. We work with occupational health and medical care both in the clinic and in the field during exercises. Our task is to support the training of military units.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4, operates in several locations, and there are Försvarshälsor in Skövde and Kvarn (Borensberg).

Main Responsibilities

The psychologist's work within the Swedish Armed Forces includes psychosocial work environment and health issues at the individual, group, and organizational levels. This includes stress and conflict management, crisis and support conversations, supervision of managers, and participation in rehabilitation investigations. Since our conscripts and cadets are entitled to free healthcare, assessment and treatment of mental illness/disease at the primary care level are included in the tasks. The tasks also include educational efforts and development work.

You will work in an organization with varied and independent work and will have close collaboration with the other staff of Försvarshälsan. The work is performed on-site at Försvarshälsan in Kvarn, but assignments at other Försvarshälsor within the Swedish Armed Forces may occur. Remote work is not applicable due to the needs of the organization and because we work closely with patients and in teams.

Training and counseling for larger and smaller groups is an important part of the preventive work.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist with at least five years of experience in the profession
• Driving license B (driving is included in the job)

You have your own drive, are customer-oriented, and enjoy working together in a team with other professional categories. Flexibility and good collaboration skills are prerequisites for employment.

Other

The position is based at Försvarshälsan in Kvarn (Borensberg), and travel within Sweden may occur. Work during inconvenient hours, as well as irregular working hours, may occur as we maintain medical readiness and daily healthcare during operational and training activities.

The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
