The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the preschool and primary school boards. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. About the Job

We are looking for cooks who want to contribute to Huddinge Municipality's new and consolidated meal organization with commitment. As a cook with us, you will help create nutritious, delicious, and sustainable meals for our students. Your main tasks will be to:

• Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious and varied meals according to the municipality's dietary policy and guidelines.
• Follow special diets and allergy-adapted meals according to medical certificates and EHT.
• Participate and be responsible for menu planning in collaboration with colleagues and dietary managers and input these into the school meal app.
• Ensure that hygiene and food handling comply with current laws and HACCP.
• Be responsible for finances, purchases, and follow-up according to established routines.
• Contribute to good cooperation in the kitchen and with other staff within the operation and area.
• Have daily contact with guests, children, students, and educators, and contribute to a positive dining experience.
• Supervise and be responsible for the daily operations. In the absence of a lead cook.
• Be responsible for reporting issues. In the absence of a lead cook.
• Collaborate with schools and preschools on joint activities and participate in meal councils.
• Ensure that your respective unit follows operational goals such as tender compliance, ecological purchases, and waste management, and meets minimum requirements.
• Prioritize operations according to crisis preparedness.
• Further develop your knowledge and support colleagues in operations and be responsible for your own development.
• Stay updated daily via phone and email.

The working hours for this position are 06:30-15:00. For this position, you must be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record before employment can begin.

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in cooking and service, who wants to contribute to a pleasant and safe dining environment for our students. You are creative, responsible, and enjoy working in a team.

Requirements:

• Culinary education at the upper secondary or post-secondary level.
• Experience working in a kitchen.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Familiarity with hygiene and safety regulations in food handling.
• Education in special diets, food, or hygiene.
• Experience working in a large kitchen or school restaurant.

We also see that you preferably have:

• Technical competence (ordering systems, office package, etc.) - computer skills.
• Knowledge of allergy diets and selective eating.
