Job Description

Do you want to be part of our winning team?

We are now looking for a licensed welder for our production unit in Gothenburg.

Valmet in Gothenburg works with service and spare parts for environmentally friendly power and heating boilers for technically demanding fuels, as well as soda boilers for the pulp and paper industry worldwide.

As a licensed welder, you will primarily work with manual welding where you have solid experience, licenses, and good knowledge of methods 111, 141, and 136. The materials being welded range from black to nickel-based materials.

Your tasks will include preparing for the start of welding, reading and understanding WPSs, and having knowledge of how materials behave during welding. Manufacturing takes place in time-limited customer projects whose duration varies from a few days to several months. The work may involve shift work with two shifts, day and evening.

During the work, you will have close contact with your colleagues, supervisors, and the quality department to ensure that the work progresses in accordance with the applicable rules and requirements specified for the specific project.

The role also includes participating in assembly work and welding in other production sections.

Expectations

We are looking for someone with a three-year high school education or equivalent.

Furthermore, you have good experience in reading drawings, welding certificates in the methods MMA, MIG/MAG, and TIG in black and stainless materials. A certificate for hot work is required. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English. It is an advantage if you have a crane and forklift license, and we would also like you to have experience in inspecting and examining welds.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and want you to have an independent and proactive working style but also be a positive team player with social skills and an ability to collaborate. We also see that you have the ability to communicate well in both speech and writing. Being interested in improvements and wanting to contribute to the team's and company's development is important for the role.

We offer

We offer a pleasant workplace with an international touch and a positive work climate, where you will take on stimulating and challenging tasks.
