About our vacancy

As a psychologist, you will conduct treatment work with children and adolescents, their families, and networks.

You will hold planned and urgent assessment interviews. Psychologists perform a certain number of neuropsychiatric assessments and have good collegial support for this in an experienced team. The tasks require theoretical and clinical breadth and skill.

Your tasks can be adapted based on your wishes and interests in combination with the needs of the clinic. You will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and secretaries.

We engage in creative conversations among colleagues to better understand and manage our tasks and to learn from each other. All employees working clinically are offered excellent opportunities for internal supervision.

The workplace is primarily located in Alingsås. There are good train connections to Gothenburg, and the clinic is within walking distance from the commuter train.

Patients coming to our clinic should feel very welcome, received by careful and knowledgeable staff. We run a well-functioning clinic where we have high availability and very short waiting times for both new visits and treatments.

Development work is a shared responsibility. We aim to continuously improve our methods and strategies to effectively and optimally assist our patients.

About us

The BUP clinic in Alingsås provides child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient care in Alingsås, Lerum, Vårgårda, and Herrljunga. The catchment area has about 20,000 children and adolescents aged 0–18 years. The clinic is located near Alingsås Hospital and belongs organizationally to the Psychiatry Unit, Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Borås.

We have a well-established and good collaboration with pediatric clinics, social services, schools, and several other partners in the field.

The region has a training unit for psychologists where there is an opportunity to take parts of the specialist program. You will also have great opportunities to attend internal orientation and advanced courses here.

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. You have an interest in and preferably experience working with children, adolescents, and families. You have a strong clinical commitment that you can reflect on, both individually and together with us.

We have a psychodynamic, neuropsychological, systemic, cognitive-behavioral, and medical perspective in our treatment work. You should be able to navigate between these fields in your work with the child/adolescent, their family, and network.

Further education in the field is an advantage, and you are a person interested in reading and self-improvement. Education is generally of utmost importance, and you are driven to learn more. Regardless of experience and current knowledge, we provide excellent opportunities for further education and development.
