Within audiology in Region Dalarna, we have Audiology Centers, Technical Audiology, and Educational Audiology. Our target group is individuals with hearing impairments, deafness, and deafblindness. We have audiology centers in Falun, Borlänge, and Mora. Most professional categories within Swedish audiology are represented here. We have close cooperation between the different workplaces and professional categories, as well as with the Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic. You will work alongside colleagues with extensive experience as well as those who are newly qualified. There are good opportunities for professional development. As a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction plan and mentoring. There is also a team leader at each location who leads the daily work and provides support and assistance to the audiology team. We have workplace meetings every other week, and a few times each term, all audiologists in the county meet. The themes of our meetings usually revolve around workplace environment, professional development, and operational development. We believe in quality and use ear canal measurement and SUS tests as quality assurance methods. We are also part of the Hearing Bridge quality register, where we have achieved high results for several years. A key success factor is our clear guidelines and routines that support the work processes and enable us to work as uniformly as possible. Audiologists for the audiology centers in Falun and Borlänge

As an audiologist with us, you will work with rehabilitation and diagnostics, where the scope of tasks varies depending on the location. You will be responsible for diagnostics, needs assessment, fitting, and prescribing hearing aids and other audiological devices. In Falun, audiograms, impedance measurements, and OAE measurements are also performed on behalf of ENT doctors. There is an opportunity to work with children and adolescents if you are interested, as well as to work in a team-based manner with other professionals in the areas of tinnitus and severe hearing loss. We collaborate closely with various professional categories within audiology, and you will work with both experienced colleagues and newly qualified ones. We use Auditbase for inventory management and registration of hearing aids, and in the fall, we will transition to Cosmic as our medical record/information system. Travel within the county may occur. Placement in Falun or Borlänge.

We are looking for a licensed audiologist with good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working as an audiologist is desirable but not required - we welcome applications from both newly qualified individuals and those with professional experience. For us, it is very valuable that you not only want to contribute to daily work but also engage in driving projects, developing work methods, and influencing the future of the operation.
