Job Description
Your main task as a crisis home administrator is to identify, appoint, and support crisis homes/network homes/temporary foster homes for short-term placements of children and youth. Here you need to enjoy quick processing, like collaborating across boundaries, and be flexible in your work. You are the face of the placement units towards our sister units within the Child and Youth Authority, the staff, and our external providers of foster homes. The work is primarily scheduled for weekdays during the day, but evening work may occur when the business requires it.
All foster home secretaries' core tasks include:
- finding and matching contractors to the child's needs
- investigating contractors
- providing support and guidance before and during the placement period
- managing finances related to fees and expenses associated with the assignment
- documenting continuously in the contractors' journal.
We investigate contractors according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines and conduct in-depth interviews via NKI. We provide qualified support measures to our contractors, including MAFI filming and guidance. Within the crisis home group, the above occurs to varying degrees, but always with a focus on urgent needs (placement today/tomorrow/next week) to place a child. Crisis home administrators also conduct network assessments, follow up on our contracted crisis homes, and hold reflection groups with our crisis homes.
The position includes travel throughout the country in connection with follow-ups and visits to crisis homes and children. You work closely with the child's social worker and conduct visits together with them and/or our school team. You always have the child's best interests in mind to best match and support contractors in their assignments related to the placed child.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent. To succeed in the job, you need experience in supporting foster homes and mentoring and supporting contractors. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms. You also need to have good computer and system skills. Since travel is included in the position, you must have a B driver's license.
As a person, you are calm and composed in various situations and can focus on the right things. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you have a good empathetic ability and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
