We are looking for you who want to work with us in the Children's Unit! The area of operation for Children, Youth, and Families in Hägersten-Älvsjö consists of the units; reception, children, youth, family homes, and family support.
Our area of operation is led by a district manager and six unit managers. The Children's Unit consists of one unit manager and two investigation groups with a group leader in each group. The group leader leads our employees in their daily work. Together, we are now moving forward and helping to create a social service that is modern, characterized by high quality, and aligns with the new social services act. We offer
To ensure a good start at your new workplace, we place great emphasis on your introduction, and you will receive support from our mentors and group leaders. The introduction is most intensive during your first year of employment. This means both individual support and method and process development in larger groups. As a social worker, you will be offered Signs of Safety training. You will have access to internal and external supervision as well as the opportunity to take part in the city's extensive training offerings.

Your role
You will work in one of our investigation groups with investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU for children aged 0-12 years and their families. The work as a social worker is varied and significant. You will conduct investigations according to SoL and LVU, as well as follow up on approved interventions. We work according to BBiC (Children's Needs in Focus) and Signs of Safety, supported by, among others, EARL and MI (Motivational Interviewing). The work also involves close collaboration with both internal and external partners such as preschools, schools, child health clinics, child and adolescent psychiatry, and the police, among others. You will be part of a learning organization and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the proactive adaptation of the working methods we are creating long-term to meet the future social services with early, preventive, and qualitative interventions for our target groups.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- Degree in Social Work
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
- Experience as a social worker within the authority for children and youth
It is meritorious to have:
- Training and experience working with Signs of Safety
- Training in conversations with children
- Training and experience with risk assessment instruments EARL, I-risk.
As a social worker, you need to be secure and stable as well as have a high degree of personal maturity. You need to have good empathetic abilities and be able to create good relationships with children and their families as well as all the parties you collaborate with. You work both independently and in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You work well with complex issues and can quickly analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions. You can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people in a respectful manner.
