Ambulance Services in Kristinehamn is Seeking a Summer Substitute for Patient Transport

Your Workplace

In Värmland, there are 12 ambulance stations operating a total of 24 ambulances, three assessment units, and nine patient transport vehicles. The operation also staffs healthcare personnel on service line buses. Close collaboration occurs with the air ambulance and emergency doctor vehicle stationed at Karlstad Airport. The helicopter doctor provides back-up medical support to the ambulance services.

The county's population structure, densely populated in the south and rural in the north, combined with large distances, presents a challenge from an accessibility perspective. The ambulance services are certified according to ISO 9001:2015, a quality management system.

Your Responsibilities

Patient transport offers transportation for patients who, for medical reasons, cannot be transported in any other way than lying down and who do not have care needs during transport. As an employee in patient transport, you will carry out patient transports within and outside the county.

Your Skills and Competencies

You who are applying are a nursing assistant, ambulance caregiver, or a nursing student in semesters 4-5. You must have a B driver's license with at least three years of driving experience and be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You have a good ability to work independently as the job involves working alone. You are confident, stable, and have self-awareness, adapting your behavior to the situation. Experience from similar work is an advantage.

Before potential employment, you will need to undergo work tests and a health check approved by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

Before employment, a test day will be conducted with interviews and practical tests in the form of physical tests and driving tests. If you are shortlisted for the position, you will be invited to the test day in a separate email.
