NKT in Karlskrona needs to strengthen its team and is now looking for a maintenance engineer who wants to work in a global company with future technology. This role gives you the chance to work on exciting tasks related to the service and maintenance of our testing equipment.

Troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrading of high-voltage laboratory equipment

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will belong to the specialist team regarding our testing equipment, whose main task is to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment and ensure a high utilization rate of it in the high-voltage laboratory. In our customer projects, you will work closely with our test leaders and test engineers but will also have a close collaboration with the production department. The position may include on-call duty.

Your main tasks:

• Troubleshooting, calibration, and upgrading of equipment
• Maintenance of equipment and its documentation
• Implementation of preventive maintenance
• Planning and ensuring that critical spare parts are available when needed
• Analyzing test data
• Working systematically with API orders
• Working on investment and development projects

Persistent problem solver with electrical expertise

We are looking for someone who is motivated, committed, and persistent with a strong technical interest. You have a high problem-solving ability and do not give up until you have solved the problem. You thrive in a role with teamwork and communication with others and gain energy from collaboration both with your internal colleagues and with the customers you meet.

You likely have some form of electrical education in your background, but other combinations of experience and education relevant to the position are also interesting. If you currently work as a service or industrial electrician, you have a good background for the role. It is advantageous if you have worked with similar tasks and with products in high voltage. Experience from, for example, nuclear power plants, electrical power-related work, PLC programming, and control systems is also meritorious.

Additionally, your CV should include:

• Civil or university engineering degree or similar in, for example, electrical engineering
• General electrical authorization
• Knowledge of high voltage is advantageous
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
