Söderenergi is owned by three municipalities and production takes place in three main facilities: Igelsta combined heat and power plant, which is Sweden's second largest bio-fueled combined heat and power plant, Igelsta heating plant, and Fittja plant. RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

As a mechanic, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance in the mechanical area at Söderenergi's facility in Igelsta. You will be involved in everything from simple service tasks to troubleshooting and larger mechanical work aimed at maintaining and improving operational availability. You will become part of an engaged and knowledgeable team where you will face technical challenges in a heavy industrial environment.

Examples of job duties:

• Service, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, conveyors, and crushers.
• Perform work orders according to our maintenance system API Pro.
• Participate in on-call duty where you will perform troubleshooting and emergency maintenance every 6 weeks, with a requirement for response time within 60 minutes.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has experience from a similar position as a mechanic, maintenance technician, or equivalent in industrial maintenance. The most important thing is that you have the right drive and an understanding of how to tinker and work hands-on.
• Is used to working hands-on and has good technical understanding.
• Is computer literate and can read technical drawings and documentation.
• Has a B driver's license.
• Master Swedish in speech and writing; English is a plus.

It is an advantage if you have:

• High school education in industrial technology or equivalent.
• Experience in heavy industry and rotating equipment (e.g., vibration measurement, pumps, fans).
• Completed courses/certificates in hot work, fall protection, safe lifting, and mobile work platforms.

NOTE:

• Prior to employment, you will undergo a background check, credit check, and health and drug test.
• You must be able to work on-call every 6 weeks and live in such a way that you can have a response time of 60 minutes around the clock.
