About the position

The Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications and information systems unit, FMTIS, has the main task of managing the operation and maintenance of command support systems at all levels of readiness both nationally and internationally. The unit you will belong to is led from Örebro, but the work is located in Stockholm and is distributed across several properties. The technical area of Technical Surveillance (TB) is a collective term for the Armed Forces' alarm, access, and CCTV systems. Main responsibilities

The technician's main responsibilities include performing service and installation as well as commissioning of technical security systems. This is carried out within and outside the Stockholm garrison at various types of facilities. The work includes burglary alarms, access, and camera systems. Management of integration of security products in local and global network structures. You will work in a team with technicians in different areas of responsibility who together are responsible for operation and maintenance, both inside and outside the garrison. Since the work involves a lot of contact with both end-users and clients, we want you to have developed social skills and find it easy to work both independently and in a team.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Completed upper secondary education in the field of electrical or telecommunication technology or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Driver's license B

DESIRABLE

We consider it an advantage if you have worked with or have experience in:

  • Relevant work experience with CCTV, alarm, and camera systems.
  • Systems: Pacom Unison, Sentrion S4, Milestone, Bosch VMS.
  • Work experience from service jobs with electromechanical locks.
  • Good knowledge of surveillance systems.
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating system.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office - Excel and Word.
  • Experience in control and regulation technology.
  • Completed military basic training with conscription, GMU, GSU, combat training or GU-F.

Other

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time. On-call duty outside regular working hours may occur.
The position is civilian.
Work location: Stockholm. Travel may occur to other locations in Sweden.
Start date and salary according to agreement.
