Do you want to be part of developing advanced technology that protects Sweden's most critical information? At Advenica, you will work with high-security solutions at the forefront of cybersecurity – technology used to defend and protect society's digital infrastructure. We are now looking for an FPGA Designer for our office in Malmö who wants to contribute to the next generation of security solutions within National Security.
YOUR DAY
Advenica's products within National Security are based on self-developed components in FPGA, electronics, mechanics, and software. Currently, a comprehensive development project is underway where the role is part of a team of FPGA designers responsible for developing the next generation of cybersecurity solutions – a product that will play a central role in protecting Sweden's most critical information. Together with colleagues from several technical areas, you will ensure that the solution remains world-leading in secure data communication.
Here, you will work in an environment where technical excellence meets societal benefit – with meaningful projects, advanced technology, and significant influence over design and development. You will become part of a knowledgeable and cohesive organization with a culture characterized by openness, collaboration, and a lack of prestige.
As an FPGA Designer, you will participate in the entire product lifecycle – from concept and technology studies to development, verification, and finished product. Your focus will be on FPGA design, where you will use your experience in advanced hardware logic to contribute to a product that is both technically leading and security-critical.
Examples of tasks:
- RTL design, synthesis, and implementation of logic in FPGA platforms
- Development and integration of proprietary IP blocks
- Verification and testing in SystemVerilog
- Collaboration with electronics and software teams for system integration
- Documentation, requirements tracking, and design reviews throughout the development chain
WHO ARE YOU?
You have a background as an FPGA or ASIC designer and thrive in environments where technology, precision, and quality are in focus. You are motivated by working with products that make a real difference and appreciate being part of a team where collaboration between different technical areas is a given.
To succeed in this role, you have good knowledge of SystemVerilog or VHDL, as well as experience in synthesis, implementation, and IP design. You likely have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent technical education and express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have experience with UVM verification, top-level integration, CI/CD work, version control in Git, or scripting languages such as TCL and Python. As a person, you are curious and collaborative – you are happy to share your knowledge, listen to others' perspectives, and dare to challenge to find the best solutions. If you also have a genuine passion for technology and a desire to contribute to Sweden's security, you will thrive in this role.
Due to Advenica's operations, the position is security classified. This means that you need to be a Swedish citizen, and a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
