Your Responsibilities
In the role of support technician at SAAB, you will have varied tasks. This is technical support in a primary Windows environment, and in the first area, you will act as the filter, which is typically the classic first line in a service desk. Here, you will receive calls, resolve cases, and document in detail. The goal is, of course, to resolve as many cases as possible at the front end, but cases that you cannot resolve will be forwarded to colleagues in Backoffice. You will primarily receive calls in Swedish and occasionally in English, but all documentation will be in English. SAAB uses the ServiceNow case management system.

In the area of “Backoffice”, you will work to resolve cases that have come in via phone, chat, or portal. The cases that you and your colleagues do not resolve in the first contact will move on to Backoffice in the first step, but also cases that come in from the Service Portal will land here. Here, there is an opportunity to get help from nearby colleagues as well as colleagues in other teams, and to search for information in portals and documentation to find a solution to a case. In Backoffice, you will only receive calls during major disruptions, allowing you to work more undisturbed and delve into technology and various problems. This provides good opportunities to develop your skills that you can benefit from when you next staff the front end.

In the area of “Request fulfillment”, you will work with orders that may require physical handling. Much has been automated regarding orders, but some tasks simply must be performed by a person.

We would like you to have: 

• Completed high school education, preferably with a focus on IT / Technology.
• A desire to work with remote service and help people with technical problems.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English - both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of Windows.

For positions where security classification is required, specific citizenship requirements may apply, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position.
