IT Support Specialist at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to delivering and developing the IT department's support services for over 20,000 employees of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
As an IT Support Specialist for 1st line support, you will be an engaged, proactive, and guiding employee with a good understanding of various IT areas. This role also requires a solid technical understanding, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle both people and technology.
In your role, you will be responsible for coordinating the group's daily operational work, ensuring high quality in delivery, and driving business development. You will actively participate in the introduction of new employees as well as the implementation of new technologies and routines within the group.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who works well with others and relates to people in a responsive and smooth manner. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively, take initiative, and drive processes independently. In your interactions, you are clear, calm, and accommodating, and you have a genuine interest in helping and supporting others.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
- Several years of work experience in IT with a focus on Service or Support
- Experience leading teams or working in a coordinating role responsible for processes, routines, and ensuring users receive quick and accurate assistance
- Several years of experience working according to the ITIL framework
- Excellent ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish
- Excellent ability to express oneself well in spoken and written English
- Very good computer skills
It is advantageous if you have:
- Certification in ITIL
- Experience in project work within IT
- Experience in IT operations and management
