About the Crisis Preparedness Department
SOS Alarm's Crisis Preparedness Department has a unique ability to identify events in the world, both nationally and internationally. By continuously collecting data that we process and refine, we compile a unique situational picture for our customers. We support our customers and other actors with coordination to optimize actions and decisions. Our services are crucial for our customers to take the right measures to prevent, mitigate, or completely avoid unwanted consequences. The mission is the only one of its kind in Sweden. The employees within the department have high competence, high availability, and a strong safety culture where collaboration is the means to achieve success.
Your everyday life as a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator
As a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator, you actively follow, identify, and seek information about events and situations in Sweden and abroad across the entire threat spectrum. You work operationally in our alarm center and must assess and evaluate how events and developments affect Sweden, Swedish interests, and SOS Alarm. If necessary, you will alert and deliver the initial situational picture both to relevant internal parties within SOS Alarm and to external customers such as authorities, municipalities, regions, and private companies. In the event of an incident, crisis, societal disruption, threat of war, or war, you will follow up on actions, compile situational information, and participate in the work of producing various materials for internal and external needs.
As a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator, you work in two shifts with combined day and night shifts, weekdays as well as weekends, and extra shifts as needed. Upon starting your employment, you will begin an introductory training program designed to equip you with the tools to function in the role of Crisis Preparedness Coordinator.
We are now looking for you who have education or work experience in crisis preparedness, total defense, or equivalent operations. You have good judgment, are flexible and proactive while having a broad security awareness. We see that you have high personal integrity, excellent collaboration skills, are unpretentious, and enjoy operational shift work.

To work with us, you must
- be a Swedish citizen
- be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
- have basic knowledge of English, spoken and written
- have education or work experience in the field of crisis preparedness
- have a strong interest in monitoring the world, global affairs, and societal issues
- have the ability to handle and structure large amounts of information
We consider it an advantage if you have good knowledge of Swedish society and the basic rules governing Swedish total defense. Furthermore, experience in gathering and processing information, as well as communicative and analytical skills, is advantageous.
We would like you to have experience working irregular hours as the Crisis Preparedness Department at SOS Alarm is an operation that monitors events around the clock, every day of the year.
We apply a 6-month probationary period. Start of employment in the spring.

SOS Alarm conducts background checks and security assessments with register checks on its staff according to the requirements of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). A check under the Act (1974:191) on security companies is also performed and is active during the employment period. A drug test without remarks is a prerequisite for employment. The position also entails military placement at SOS Alarm.
