About the role

As a surface treatment operator at Saab, you will be part of an innovative team that works to refine and protect mechanical components through advanced surface treatment. Here, you will have the opportunity to handle technically challenging tasks in a safe and controlled environment, where your accuracy and attention to detail play a crucial role.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform surface treatment of mechanical components, including chemical analyses of chemical baths.
• Conduct self-inspections of treated components, primarily under a microscope.
• Carry out basic maintenance of the department's equipment and initiate support contacts as needed.
• Write observation reports and work with assessments and actions based on your own analyses.
• Actively contribute to the department's improvement and efficiency efforts.
• Manage work with furnaces, vacuum furnaces, and chemical baths, including etching, copper plating, and dipping in chemicals.

In this role, you will handle complex processes that require safety awareness and technical competence.

To fit this role, it is important that you have a strong technical foundation, a solution-oriented approach, and a desire to develop.

Qualifications:

• Swedish citizenship
• At least one year of relevant experience in surface treatment, or five years of experience in related fields.
• High school education in natural sciences, chemistry, or engineering, alternatively...
• Vocational training in surface treatment, laboratory work, quality, and process development.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical diagrams.
• Fluent Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Experience from manufacturing industry, including testing and verification.
• Additional courses in chemistry.
• Experience in assembly or similar technical roles.
