About the Program

Our 12-week intensive training program is designed to provide you with both theoretical and practical knowledge for the role of alarm and security technician. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on exercises and concludes with a final project that ties together the learnings. The training is free of charge, and during these 12 weeks, we also offer a training allowance.

During the program, you will receive comprehensive training in both electronic and mechanical security technology, where you will learn to install and commission systems such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, and surveillance cameras. The training also covers workplace safety and regulations, with overviews of laws and standards such as SSF 130:10, insurance requirements, and ethical guidelines.

Practical elements are a central part of the program. You will practice tool handling, cable routing, and installation of security systems with a focus on both functionality and aesthetics. The training also includes certifications, such as lift licenses, fall protection, and safety training related to ID06, which further enhances your skills.

• Kick-off event: April 28, 2025
• Pre-study period: April 29 – June 1, 2025
• Training: June 2 – September 5, 2025 (2 weeks break for self-study during weeks 30-31)
• Training location: Stockholm and remote
• First working day at Avarn Security Systems: September 8, 2025
• Placement after completing training: Stockholm and surrounding areas, assignments range from Uppsala down to Nyköping

Job Information

After completing the training, you will be employed by us at Professionals Nord for your first 15 months and work as an alarm and security technician at Avarn Security Systems. You will participate in installing, maintaining, and commissioning modern security systems such as alarms, surveillance, and access control. Troubleshooting and problem-solving are also important parts of the job, as well as collaborating with both customers and colleagues to create tailored security solutions. At Avarn Security Systems, there are great opportunities for development – after 15 months, the goal is for your employment to transition to Avarn Security Systems, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role, we expect you to have:

• High school diploma
• Driver's license (B)
• A solid technical interest
• The ability to speak and write fluently in Swedish and English
• The ability to undergo and pass a security interview and background check. The position may involve work in security-classified projects and therefore requires Swedish citizenship.

Your personal qualities are just as important as your formal qualifications. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, problem-solving, and flexible, with a strong sense of responsibility and curiosity for technology.
