The home care service in Öckerö Municipality is ranked as the 4th best municipality in the country in 2024 out of 290 municipalities regarding the execution of services. The index is based on the results the municipality received in the survey “What do the elderly think about home care services” and addresses issues such as staff's approach, consideration for the care recipients' integrity, how safe the elderly feel with home care services, staff continuity, and is a composite of data that indicates quality in home care services in various ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on the assessment of the assistance officer and approved services, perform care services in accordance with applicable legislation and the goals and intentions of the operation. This means supporting and helping individuals to manage their daily lives based on the assistance decision. This may involve providing support and help with personal care, various household chores, services such as cleaning and laundry, social activities, and health care services according to delegation from Municipal Primary Care (nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist).

Some computer skills are required as it is part of the job to document in social journals, create implementation plans with the user, send care requests to KPV when the user has needs, handle medication administration signing, etc. We work with a fixed care contact for the user.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in people, a strong sense of responsibility, and good empathy skills. A good approach to users and their relatives is very important to us. We care and have a strong commitment to our mission.

The tasks require you to be attentive, listening, flexible, and that your approach is characterized by respect. You have good collaboration skills, deliver good care, can pitch in when a colleague needs support, and see yourself as a team player. You are relationship-oriented and have an eye for what the user needs. It is beneficial if you have a salutogenic perspective in your work and possess good social skills, as we actively work to counteract mental health issues and ensure safety for our users.

You must be able to handle and read different situations and act responsibly and independently within the framework of social services legislation and our political mission.

Education equivalent to the care program/certified nursing assistant training or other education deemed equivalent is meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and flexibility regarding the workplace, as well as the ability to collaborate and work in a team. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.

A driver's license is desirable.
