Mercene Labs is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) who wants to develop new business opportunities, prospect new markets, and qualify leads for the company's technical sales team – while supporting marketing with smart content and materials.

About Mercene Labs Mercene Labs is a Swedish technology company that develops and sells high-performance primers that make industrial surface treatment more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective. The company's patented solutions combine innovations in surface treatment with ease of use, providing manufacturers with new opportunities to improve both quality and manufacturing processes. The products are currently used by furniture, kitchen, and panel manufacturers across Europe – and are an important part of the next generation of surface treatment.

With production and warehousing in Germany, development in Stockholm, and customers throughout Europe, Mercene Labs is in an expansion phase. The company consists of a small, entrepreneurial team of five people who work closely together and always focus on customer needs.

About the role As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a central role in Mercene Labs' international growth. The role is broad and varied, and suits you who want a holistic view of sales – from the first customer contact to closing and targeted marketing campaigns. At Mercene Labs, you will build long-term relationships with customers and prospects, where trust and confidence are crucial to closing a deal.

Your main focus will be to:

  • Prospect new customers, map and build lists of potential leads in new markets.
  • Make initial contact via phone, email, and digital channels to spark interest.
  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings with technical sales representatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings and trials and support technical sales representatives to drive deals to closure.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with distributors and partners.
  • Build structure and lead the work in our CRM for leads and sales/marketing activities.
  • Support marketing by creating customer cases, presentations, and content that strengthens the brand.
  • Quickly switch between different tasks that arise in a small, fast-paced organization.

Who we believe you are

  • You have 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales or lead generation, preferably within the manufacturing/process industry or another technical field.
  • You are driven, fearless, and proactive – enjoy taking the first step and contacting new people.
  • You thrive in a changing environment and can quickly switch between different tasks.
  • You have experience working in CRM systems and a structured approach to work.
  • You are curious about technology, can understand customer needs, and build trust in conversations.
  • You are persistent and methodical, and enjoy building long-term relationships.
  • You preferably have experience in digital marketing or lead generation as a complement.
  • You have a technical background or interest that makes it easier to understand our products and customers' processes.
  • You speak and write fluently in business English and preferably additional languages beyond Swedish.
