About Varnhem

Varnhem's group home is located in the picturesque Varnhem, close to both services and good communications to Skara and Skövde. Here, a small, experienced team works with good collaboration and a positive atmosphere. The premises are cozy and adapted for the target group. We cater to adults with diagnoses within the autism spectrum, and the work is characterized by clear pedagogical approaches, low-arousal responses, and a focus on creating safety and independence in everyday life.

About the role

In the role of housing supporter, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff, you will work to create a meaningful and rich everyday life. You will support and guide in personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

You will have a unit manager and an operations manager close to you who will support you in your work. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests in mind in everything you do.
