Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and influence their workday.
The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic is a specialized unit within forensic psychiatry that cares for both women and men, where most of our patients are committed to care by the court. We also receive patients from the correctional system who need psychiatric care and treatment. Our catchment area covers all of Sweden. The clinic is divided into blocks with departments focusing on different areas. There is an opportunity to work with the focus that you find particularly interesting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse at the clinic, you are responsible for the care of a number of patients. You are part of a team with various professionals such as nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, and treatment pedagogues, tasked with supporting and motivating patients in their care process. Leadership is a significant part of the daily work as a nurse, and sometimes inter-departmental work is required where your efforts are needed in other departments than your own.
What can forensic psychiatry offer you? We can offer you challenging work tasks and opportunities for development in the role of a nurse. We can also offer opportunities for further education, and we invest extra in our nurses as, in addition to the base salary as a nurse, you receive a supplement of 2,000 SEK. If you enjoy working with us, the supplement increases to 3,000 SEK after two years of employment. The supplement applies only within the Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Region Kronoberg. Additionally, we also provide a bonus on all OB supplements earned during the year, which gives 50% extra OB compensation.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in psychiatry. Further education in psychiatry and/or training in CBT, MI, and ESL is considered meritorious. Education and experience in low-arousal approaches are also additional merits. As a person, you are clear and confident in yourself and have a positive attitude. We see that you find it easy to collaborate and have a good view of people. You are also creative and see solutions. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. In connection with recruitment, we request an extract from the criminal record and suspicion register. Therefore, we ask that you include your full personal identification number in your application.
