About the role

As a mechanical designer with our client, you will have the opportunity to work on high-tech development projects within our business areas Energy, Industry/Product Development, and Process. The projects span a wide spectrum and offer a varied work environment where you can work both with and for their clients, as well as in their own in-house projects. This provides great opportunities for your personal and technical development.

In the role of mechanical designer, you will be involved in product and machine design with a focus on creating technically efficient and sustainable solutions. The projects may involve both new development and updates of products and machines, and you will have the opportunity to be involved from the idea stage to the products being commissioned and put into production.

Key responsibilities:

• Mechanical design: You will work on the design of products, machines, and systems, primarily using 3D-CAD and producing technical drawings in both 2D and 3D.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Design in close collaboration with other disciplines such as calculations, electrical/electronics, and software to ensure that all parts of the system function optimally.
• Testing and material selection: Participate in the selection of materials, suppliers, and in the testing phase to ensure that the products meet quality requirements and technical specifications.
• Technical support: Act as technical support for the customer, aftermarket, and production, ensuring that the product meets expectations.
• Quality assurance and standards: Ensure that the development work follows applicable standards, norms, and the customer's procedures.
• Review and risk assessment: Quality assure and technically review the development work against the original order and perform risk and safety assessments/analyses.

Your profile

To succeed in the role of mechanical designer, we believe that you have good collaboration skills and social competence. You also feel a sense of responsibility and commitment to your work and are used to driving your work forward. You have a burning interest in technology and enjoy challenges that allow you and the company to grow. You are skilled in CAD and have a master's, bachelor's, or vocational degree in mechanical engineering, product development, design, or similar.

Minimum requirements for the position:

• At least a university degree in mechanical or mechanics
• At least 3 years of work experience as a designer
• English proficiency in spoken and written form
• Experience with any CAD program, preferably Siemens NX, Catia, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar

Preferred qualifications for the position:

• Experience working with Siemens NX
• Previous experience in commissioning and close collaboration with or work in electrical design/automation
• Swedish proficiency in spoken and written form
• Previous experience in calculations, product development, commissioning
