Service Staff for Patient-Centered Services in Sala

We are looking for service staff for Patient-Centered Services (VNS) to support the new unit for planned surgeries in Sala (EPOS).

Job Responsibilities

You will work in a team of about 4-6 service staff (a VNS team) assigned to a department in the hospital. The tasks mainly consist of service-related duties within healthcare. You will, among other things, be responsible for cleaning facilities and spaces, as well as sanitizing and organizing patient and staff areas to create a pleasant environment and good hygiene within Region Västmanland.

Your responsibilities will also include kitchen work and meal management in the department, such as receiving meal orders, heating, and serving breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. Other service tasks requested by healthcare may also occur in this position.

To help you feel welcome and to ease your transition into your duties on your first day, we offer an introduction with training and onboarding in cleaning and food service.

About the Workplace

Patient-Centered Services is part of the Collective Services operation and is organizationally placed within the Property and Service administration. The operation provides services to healthcare and is responsible for cleaning, departmental kitchens, patient-centered services, as well as restaurants and cafeterias within the region. The purpose is to support healthcare staff so they can spend more time with patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is 18 years or older. A completed and approved high school education is a requirement for the position. If you have an education in hotel and restaurant management, cleaning, service, or healthcare, that is an advantage. We consider it beneficial if you have experience working in hotels and restaurants, cleaning, service, or healthcare. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language and good computer skills. Since the job can be physically demanding at times, we expect you to have good physical fitness.

As a person, you are responsible, eager to learn different areas within the service field, and enjoy a role that includes many varied tasks. Planning and flexibly switching between different tasks feels natural to you. You strive to perform your work meticulously, where satisfied patients and clients are the focus. Collaboration and good relationships with your colleagues are important to you.
