JTEKT Column Systems AB is a leading system supplier that develops, produces, and sells adjustable steering columns, telescopic shafts, and valves to the leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery in Europe. Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer with us, you will be responsible for developing products according to customer requirements and contributing improvement suggestions based on your experience. Your main responsibilities include:

• Development of product concepts and detailed product design based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Participation in meetings and activities to ensure continuous improvements.
• Management of D-FMEA, product specifications, test specifications, and other technical documents.
• Support to test and measurement labs with tests, analyses, and reports.
• Creation of documentation for prototypes and support to production in design and improvement work.
• Communication with customers and suppliers to ensure technical solutions and quality.

You will work closely with other functions and contribute ideas and solutions in teams to develop innovative and cost-effective products.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• At least a 3-year university degree with a technical focus or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in design, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Experience working in projects.
• Solid knowledge of Catia V5 and preferably SmartTeam or similar.
• Knowledge in mechanics, and preferably basic knowledge in mechatronics or electronics.
• Experience in calculations and simulations as well as IATF 16949 is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
• Good IT skills.
