Job Description

In the role of forklift driver/warehouse worker at ICA's warehouse in Borlänge, your main tasks will involve driving forklifts and picking goods by hand with the help of a voice unit that instructs you on what to pick. The tasks are physically demanding and characterized by a high work pace where you work in different temperature zones.

Requirements

To be considered for the position, you must be very flexible in your availability and able to work at least 2-3 weekdays a week, distributed between day/evening, with weekends being additional. ICA operates its warehouse around the clock every day of the week. During peak seasons such as Christmas and summer, the demand increases, and we require you to be able to work more. You who are applying should see this as a long-term extra job and have a high work ethic. This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Student Consulting but will be hired out to our client ICA.

Introduction

We are currently recruiting with an introductory start during the fall, starting in week 45 through 49. Your introduction starts on Tuesday (the first week) with theoretical forklift training, followed by practical driving tests on Thursday. Training together with your mentor continues directly the following week from Monday to Friday (the second week) and requires 100% attendance. Therefore, it is a requirement that you are available full-time during your mentorship week. Immediately after completing the training, you are expected to take over and start your work with the requirement of 2-3 shifts a week, with weekends additional.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be considered for the position, it is REQUIRED that you have another job or studies of at least 50% and have at least one year left in your studies. We will only proceed with individuals who can provide documentation to support this.

Furthermore, you should have:

• Good physical condition.
• Approved background check.
• Very good ability to understand and communicate in Swedish.
• Forklift license A1-4 and driving experience is an advantage.
• Driving license B and access to your own car to quickly reach the workplace is an advantage.

As a person, you are careful, flexible, and responsible. You have a high work ethic and enjoy working independently as well as with colleagues.

We will request a background check and perform a drug test as part of the process. ICA aims to have smoke-free workplaces. The work environment at ICA's workplaces should be sober and free from drugs, and therefore ICA applies random alcohol and drug tests.
