The Opportunity

As a Hardware Design Engineer within HVDC Service, you will play a key role in the upgrades of our HVDC installations. Your work will include designing control cabinets containing computers and circuit boards for measurement, control, and calculations.

This is a broad role that also includes:

• Site visits and technical support to the workshop (FST)
• Development of overview drawings
• Process development and continuous improvement
• Coordination with other departments and project teams

How you will make an impact

• Design hardware solutions for our control and protection systems
• Create layouts and circuit diagrams, including cable and component calculations
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure high-quality deliveries
• Develop work methods together with engineering colleagues across disciplines
• Participate in international upgrade projects – see your technology make a global impact
• Plan and organize your work in close collaboration with the project team

Your Background

• At least 6 years working experience in a similar field.
• Experience with CAD tools.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
• Communicative, outgoing, and curious
• Proficient in Swedish and English
• Experience in the electrical industry (e.g., electrician) is an advantage
