The unit for the development of labor market policy measures is in an exciting phase of development where the Swedish Social Insurance Agency strives to be at the forefront in terms of methods, tools, and working methods – we are creating the workplace of the future today!

In this area, 36 employees work, most of whom are system developers. Our delivery area has a clear and central role in the IT organization of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

Development, Java, Container Technology, and DevOps

As a system developer with us, you will work in teams and various constellations with a strong focus on collaboration and joint problem-solving. You are expected to have the ability to see the whole picture in system development, understand how different parts are interconnected, and contribute to a well-functioning whole. Your role involves not only writing code but also actively participating in the entire development chain – from analysis, design, and all the way to delivery.

We are looking for someone who has experience with Java and ideally has a DevOps mindset according to GitOps as well as container platforms. We value a working method that focuses on automating and streamlining processes, where both software development and technology collaborate for the best possible results. You will also work with application tests and flow tests to ensure the quality of deliveries. This means that you actively contribute to identifying and addressing deficiencies in the system before they reach production, as well as being involved in designing tests to cover both individual functions and the entire chain.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

• has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
• has experience in system development in Java or equivalent
• acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
• collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
• has good communication skills, both spoken and written
• brings innovative ideas and solutions that promote development
• can understand and analyze complex issues
• has a systematic and meticulous working method
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have

• knowledge or experience in various testing tools such as Cucumber
• knowledge or experience of DevOps principles and tools
• knowledge or experience of container technology such as Helm and Kubernetes
• knowledge or experience of GitOps
• knowledge or experience in application and flow testing.

A permanent, full-time position, with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency may conduct a financial background check before employment. For this position, Swedish citizenship is required.
