Facility Leader for the Production Department Boden - Luleå
The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) has a collective responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and management of all command support systems in the Armed Forces.
FMTIS operates continuously in peace, crisis, and war, meaning that the unit is constantly engaged both nationally and internationally.
The unit has more than 1,800 employees spread across over 30 locations in the country.
Main Responsibilities
As a Facility Leader, you will primarily work to ensure robust operational environments with sound operating conditions for our Data Centers and IT spaces according to agreements with our clients. The Facility function serves as a contact point within the organization, both internally and with external actors. The job will involve some travel.
You will be part of a team that, in addition to issues related to IT spaces, also handles capacity issues related to our operational environments.
About the Unit and Department
DriftE is one of 12 units within FMTIS and is responsible for acting as the Armed Forces' network operator, monitoring and managing problems and incidents, as well as performing maintenance and remote troubleshooting in the Armed Forces' IT and telecommunications systems. DriftE has approximately 300 employees distributed across 8 departments, with the Production Department (ProdAvd) being one of them.
ProdAvd is responsible for production planning and following up on the IT/Tele support delivered both centrally and locally within the Armed Forces. The Production Department is also responsible for developing, describing, and following up on our IT and Tele processes, planning for the implementation of major changes, and coordinating the implementation of changes in our IT systems.
Qualifications
- 3-year upper secondary education with a focus on IT or equivalent technical knowledge. We will consider profiles with a technical/IT background.
- Experience in IT-related tasks, preferably within a larger operational organization.
- Experience in the construction or electrical industry.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Driver's license B.
Meritorious
- Good knowledge of regulations, construction principles, and supply systems regarding Data Centers and IT spaces.
- Experience working with Data Centers and IT spaces.
- Experience in active monitoring and network infrastructure.
- Experience with process-oriented work methods.
- Experience working on projects.
- Education/certification in ITIL.
