Öppenrehab Borlänge is a facility at Borlänge Hospital that provides specialized rehabilitation at home or in an outpatient setting. We are a multi-professional team that, with a person-centered approach, conducts neurorehabilitation, stroke follow-ups/rehabilitation, and specialized home rehabilitation to enable early discharges from inpatient care. The teams work closely together, creating a cohesive group that supports each other and fosters a strong desire to do their best for patients and colleagues.

The workplace provides a broad insight into the work of an occupational therapist, allowing newly graduated professionals to enter the field effectively. There is room for mentorship and guidance in the workplace.

The position offers a temporary contract from January 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027.

The responsibilities include providing occupational therapy expertise in the assessment/treatment of patients with stroke, other neurological diseases, or orthopedics, and conducting cognitive assessments within the memory clinic.

Patients are treated at home or in the outpatient clinic. Within specialized home rehabilitation, various somatic diagnoses are treated to shorten the time spent in inpatient care. In day rehabilitation/outpatient care, the focus is primarily on stroke and other neurological diagnoses. Work within specialized palliative teams may also occur. The work is carried out in close collaboration with physiotherapists and the rest of the team.

Requirements:

• Licensed occupational therapist
• Valid driver's license (B)

Preferred:

• Experience with neurological patients and patients with cognitive impairments

If you are newly graduated, you will have an experienced colleague as a mentor.

This position requires you to have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare professionals (HOSP) before any job offer is made.
