We are now looking for a personal assistant for a cheerful and playful 14-year-old boy for a temporary position. He has autism and a severe developmental disability. He communicates with words and signs, and you need to be attentive to what he wants and respond quickly to show that you understand him.

He also has epilepsy, so you need to be extra vigilant about this and be able to read different complex situations. The job can be physically demanding and involves some heavy lifting.

We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of his daily life – a reliable and helpful friend who supports him in living a rich and independent life.

About the role

As an assistant, you will be his support in all aspects of daily life.

Your workplace will be in a home environment, so it is important that you have a good attitude towards the whole family. There are sometimes outings with him, so you need to be resourceful and self-sufficient. He enjoys car rides, so it is a plus if you have a driver's license.

You will often work independently, so it is important that you feel secure in your role as an assistant. Your presence will be an important part of his security and joy in everyday life.

Who are you

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a calm, empathetic demeanor. You are attentive, can take initiatives, enjoy creating a pleasant atmosphere at home, are flexible with tasks and working hours, and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are smoke-free! Personal chemistry is important, so we are looking for someone who is positive, patient, and looks forward to becoming a significant part of our client's life.

Experience in personal assistance or similar work is a plus, but the most important thing is that you are engaged and secure in your role.
