Workplace

Nordmaling Municipality continuously seeks extra staff in healthcare and social services who can work on short notice, e.g., during sick leave and vacations. There are opportunities to work as a nursing assistant, care assistant, housing supervisor, and work supervisor.

The relevant operations are:

• Home care in; Nordmaling, Gräsmyr, Rundvik, and Nyåker as well as the night patrol
• The municipality's elderly care home Strandbacken in central Nordmaling
• The LSS operation - services for individuals with disabilities. The LSS operation consists of daily activities, group homes, stairwell housing, and short-term accommodation

Working hours vary and are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, or nights.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a nursing assistant/care assistant involves providing good care and support to our elderly and assisting them in their daily lives. You help our elderly with daily tasks, activities, personal hygiene, and administer medication to those in need. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as ongoing documentation (such as measures, health status, and social status) in our current operational system.

The work as a housing supervisor/work supervisor within LSS means being support and assistance to the target group so they can live an independent life and have a meaningful daily life.

Your Profile

You need to be at least 18 years old, and we prefer that you have work experience and/or education in healthcare and social services.

You should be interested in working with people and be secure, stable, and possess good empathetic skills. We also value good collaboration skills and flexibility. Personal qualities are highly valued.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

For home care, a Class B driver's license is required, and we prefer that you have access to your own car.

Employment

Temporary or special fixed-term employment. Hourly wage. Start date by agreement.

If you start as a substitute with us during the autumn/winter, there are great opportunities for summer jobs in 2025.
