Substitute Music Teacher Wanted

Do you want to inspire and teach our students in music? We are currently looking for a substitute music teacher as our regular teacher will be temporarily unavailable.

At Skultuna Educational Units, we collaborate to develop and do the best for our children, students, guardians, and residents. We exchange ideas and experiences with each other, share our competencies, and have quick access to decision-making - we are really good together. Persboskolan, with its fantastic surroundings, has much to offer. Did you know that it only takes about 15 minutes by car from central Västerås to us? You can also avoid city traffic and enjoy beautiful nature; if you prefer to take the bus, line 21 runs frequently.

Persboskolan is a school for students from grade 4 to grade 9. The school has 315 students and we have two learning studios for students who need instruction in a smaller setting. Our two teams work closely together with each other and with the school's principals who lead the school's management group. The school also has a well-functioning student health team and we have access to the unit's digital developer. Currently, a major project is underway to build a new school that will also serve as a community arena for children and young people. We are building the Dream Factory, which is something entirely new and unique.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your strong leadership in the classroom is evident as you meet students with respect and warmth, creating a joyful atmosphere in the music room. You spark your students' interest through varied teaching and naturally adapt your instruction to your students' different needs. Your teaching is modern and creative, aiming to find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development.

You will work on planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing the teaching for and with the students. You will be responsible for the musical aspects related to traditions and holidays, using methods and approaches that lead to the best possible fulfillment of goals. In your role, you will collaborate with colleagues both within and outside your team, contributing to creating a good learning environment. You will work and document in the operational systems available to us.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach music. You must have a good command of the Swedish language to communicate with students and other staff and to document what the operations require in writing. You should also have good IT skills to work in the relevant operational systems.

As a teacher with us, it is important that you are secure and stable and can adapt your behavior to the situation. You should easily collaborate with colleagues and school management and be clear in your communication with students and guardians. It is also important that you have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and that they have different prerequisites, as well as the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police criminal record.
