Friday is looking for an Experienced Automation Engineer on behalf of our client. In the role of Automation Engineer, you will be offered a varied position with a lot of freedom under responsibility where you have the opportunity to be creative while following established processes and routines for projects. You will belong to a team of 13 people with competencies in both mechanics and electronics, of which 3 work as Automation Engineers. You will be based in the office in Gothenburg and will conduct visits to clients as needed. The clients vary in size and operate in several different industries, many of which are world leaders in their field.

In your role, you will further work with programming in PLC and commissioning of automation equipment within industrial operations such as robotic cells, assembly equipment, and special machines. You will participate in projects from the sales phase until the facility is commissioned and handed over to the client. The office also has a unique test hall for equipment.

You will for example:

• Work with PLC programming of automation equipment, such as robotic cells, assembly equipment, and special machines.
• Conduct visits and travel to clients as needed and during commissioning.
• Collaborate with other disciplines in your project group to develop the best possible solution for the client.

• Has completed post-secondary technical education in automation or a related field.
• Has at least 3 years of work experience as an Automation Engineer or PLC programmer.
• Has knowledge of PLC programming and robotic systems.
• Holds a valid driver's license (B).
• Is fluent in both Swedish and English as both languages are communicated internally and externally.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have worked as an electrician.
• Possess knowledge in electrical design and/or CAD tools.

Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability where we are looking for someone with a strong technical interest and curiosity to learn more. We also believe that you are responsible and structured in your work approach and good at interacting, structuring, and syncing your work with others in the department. Additionally, we would like to see that you have a positive outlook and are easy to collaborate and communicate with.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that after 6-12 months, you will be directly employed by the client.

• Scope: Full-time.
• Start: Immediately/As agreed considering notice period.
• Location: Gothenburg.
• Salary: Fixed monthly salary.
