Do you want to help develop products that protect people and communities? We are now looking for a development engineer for a product company in the defense industry in Karlskoga. Here you will have a broad and varied role where you follow the products through the entire chain – from idea to finished product – and contribute to innovation, quality, and safety.

The position as a development engineer involves a varied job consisting of three main areas: 

1. Design  You will work with both new development and modification of existing products. This may involve creating new designs, updating drawings, making design changes, or adapting designs to new requirements and standards.

2. Investigation You will handle technical questions from various parts of the organization, such as quality, production, or purchasing.

3. Product Care You will learn the entire lifecycle of the products and the durability of the components. You will analyze how long a component can be used and drive improvement proposals, fault investigations, and quality measures.

In addition to these areas, the role may also involve driving projects and processes – from needs analysis to implementation.

We see that you: 

• Are a university or master's degree engineer in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, or similar
• Have good knowledge of CAD and an interest in working with the entire product chain
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We are also looking for someone with more experience from the design side who wants to work in a broader role with, for example, project responsibility.

As a person, we would like you to be analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with a good ability to work both independently and in teams. 

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the applicable security protection regulations, and the position requires Swedish citizenship.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Extent: Full-time, permanent

Start: Immediately, considering your possible notice period
