How you’ll make an impact

  • Set up and execute R&D projects together with your project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans, perform risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
  • Proactively work with the team to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the implementation of new solutions. Develop risk management plans and strategies to respond to risks as they rise.
  • Drive requirements analysis, pre-studies, solution development and documentation of results in the projects.
  • Collaborate with development teams (internal/external), manufacturers, testing facilities, stakeholders, product owners, and line management during project execution.
  • As an R&D Project Manager, you will be a part of the R&D Project Management Office. As a team, we are all responsible for working on our processes, quality, learning from/helping each other, and developing individually and as a team.

Your background

  • University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering or similar and strong technical background within the electrical power industry.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to HVDC, FACTS technology, power semiconductors, and voltage source converter applications.
  • Knowledge of power system simulation studies and simulation tools is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management of R&D projects related to power electronic converters and high voltage electrical equipment.
  • A proven track record of managing complex research and development projects from inception to completion is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements and constraints.
  • Experience of coordinating R&D activities with external research organizations and service providers.
