PrimeComp is now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our client Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to work in an international environment, contribute to sustainable energy solutions, and develop within mechanical engineering design.

In this role, you will be an important part of the team and work both independently and in close collaboration with other functions. The work includes technical analyses and reporting as well as planning, design, and modification of machines, equipment, and products. You will also coordinate activities internally and with external partners to achieve common goals.

• Plan, design, and modify machines, equipment, and products within mechanical engineering.

• Drive and participate in projects and activities, such as type testing and R&D projects.

• Conduct analyses and produce reports using modern CAD and calculation tools.

• Provide technical support to marketing and sales for complex applications.

• Coordinate activities internally and between different functions to achieve common goals.

• Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, marketing, and sales.

• Contribute to good relationships with customers, suppliers, and other external partners.

• Develop training materials for customers.

• Work according to Hitachi Energy's core values – safety, integrity, and accountability.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy systems, or similar.

• Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the power industry.

• Knowledge of transformers or transformer components is an advantage.

• Experience in Supply Chain Management is a significant advantage.

• Good knowledge of Creo, Windchill, and SAP is highly meritorious.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is an advantage.

• You are a team player who enjoys cross-functional collaboration.

• Have good communication skills and see solutions instead of obstacles.

• Are analytical, structured, and enjoy managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

• At least 6 years of work experience in a relevant field + bachelor's or master's degree, or

• Another technical degree with over 15 years of experience in the field.

• Very good knowledge of English.

• Location: Ludvika, 100% on-site.

• Travel within Sweden may occur.
