We are now seeking a Receptionist/ Conference Host for Scandic Star Sollentuna.

What does the role entail?

As a receptionist/conference host, you are responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web, ensuring that the guest is always the focus. You will go through the arrival list and pay attention to the details. You will ensure that the guests' wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You solve most issues and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby, where you meet most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, safety tasks, and sales work.

The work at the reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You will manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and safety. As a conference host, you have a burning passion for service and enjoy order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic meeting experience. Your main tasks in conference operations include welcoming guests in the morning, preparing refreshments, being available throughout the day, assisting with technical questions, and much more. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.

The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).

Who are you?

To fit into this role, we believe you have well-developed social skills and can handle many different things happening at once. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

You also have experience and knowledge of working with a computer as a work tool.

Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is a plus.

However, the most important are your personal qualities and your attitude. To fit into this role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
