THE ASSIGNMENT

  • Establish presence As a Business Developer, your mission is to build Maskin Mekano's local presence in Germany through a strong and long-term dealer network. The work begins with a market analysis to identify the right geographies and potential partners. You will establish dealers based on set criteria and be responsible for qualifying, selecting, and building relationships with the right players.
  • Develop collaborations You will onboard new dealers into Maskin Mekano's business model – focusing on sales, problem-solving, and customer support. You ensure that each partner has local technical capacity and help them get started, both with sales and after-sales.
  • Drive the business Together with the management of the dealers, you will drive the business forward, focusing on local presence and long-term relationships. You will follow up on results, identify business opportunities, and initiate activities that strengthen the dealers' position in the local market. The role may also involve building strategic partnerships with complementary players where there is mutual business benefit.
  • Create relationships You will work closely with the decision-makers of the dealers and build strong business relationships with local teams. At the same time, you will have close cooperation with Maskin Mekano's internal functions in Sweden – technical sales support, marketing support, and service – to ensure coordinated and efficient work towards the market. You will report to the CEO located in Jönköping. Your own base location is flexible, as this is a free role with regular presence in Germany, estimated travel days of about 100-110 days annually.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Business focus An important part of the role is to build and nurture long-term business relationships, where the business is driven forward with an understanding of both the customer's perspective and the needs of the business. You have experience taking responsibility for the entire business process – from first contact to established collaboration – and thrive in complex environments where collaboration is crucial. The ability to advance business issues internally – whether it concerns technology, cost, or contracts – is central. You are comfortable handling discussions that require both clarity and balance, and are motivated to find solutions that work for all parties even when the path is not straightforward. To succeed in the role, a good understanding of German business culture and the ability to communicate in German is required.
  • Technical understanding An interest in technology is a prerequisite for success in the role. You need to understand how machines work, be able to demonstrate the products, and feel comfortable in environments where customer interaction occurs close to the product. Previous experience working with technical solutions or machines is beneficial – even if you are not a technical specialist.
  • Collaborative ability The role requires you to work independently, drive initiatives when needed, and sometimes be the one who takes a stand. At the same time, collaboration with internal functions in Sweden is a central part of the work – both regarding technology, service, and marketing. You serve as the bridge between the market, dealers, and the internal team, switching between representing the customer internally and Maskin Mekano externally.
