Korsängen Preschool is centrally located in Enköping and is within walking distance to forest areas, playgrounds, or other green spaces. The preschool is built according to the framework program used by the municipality for new constructions. The preschool has a kitchen where meals are prepared, and children eat in the preschool's common dining room. The preschool uses a digital learning platform where all information is sent from and documentation takes place. There are free pedagogical meals, work clothes for permanent employees, and both shared and individual reflection/planning time for each employee.

We run an operation that should be developing and meaningful for every individual who is present. As a pedagog, you will have a significant opportunity to influence and develop the pedagogical work both indoors and outdoors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone eager to develop the preschool's operations so that children can face challenges and grow in their learning. You put the child first! You see the child as a co-researcher in the world of pedagogy and have a professional approach to the preschool teacher's assignment. We are attracted to applicants who are passionate about learning combined with a clear view of the competent child in a safe environment.

As a preschool teacher, you will be a key player in our organization, as you are responsible for leading, planning, documenting, and evaluating the operations together with the team. You also have an overarching responsibility for developing the preschool's work towards set goals and governing documents. You will develop and shape the pedagogical operations with your colleagues so that all children can develop their very best selves. Together with other preschool teachers and the principal, you are responsible for continuously evaluating and developing the entire operation.

An important part of the assignment is to jointly create an equitable preschool that is based on a holistic view, where you consider both the operation's and the children's best interests and act accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Having a preschool teacher degree is crucial, and you must have or soon obtain a preschool teacher license. Experience working in preschool is also a decisive part of the recruitment. If you have experience in special education, TAKK, creative learning environments, outdoor education, or other special competencies, it is an advantage.

You need to have a flexible and solution-focused approach. You adapt easily to changing circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and see the opportunities in changes while still being guided by goal- and result-oriented thinking in prioritization, planning, and actions.

Collaboration skills are essential as it is a significant part of our working method. We would like you to be proactive, initiate activities, and achieve results. Pedagogical insight is a given for us, understanding how people acquire knowledge and their different conditions. You must be able to adapt your communication style depending on the recipient.

It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and view your assignment as a preschool teacher positively. As a preschool teacher, you need to see the whole picture and consider the broader perspective. You understand your role but prioritize the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. You are a role model who leads, motivates, and delegates to effectively achieve common goals. You are expected to have the ability to create engagement and participation.
