About Attendo Ekebyvägen in Eskilstuna

Attendo Ekebyvägen is a residence with 54 apartments for elderly people with cognitive diseases. The residence focuses on outdoor activities and gardening, which means we try to use our pleasant garden for activities when the weather permits.

We are now looking for an occupational therapist who is eager for a role that involves close contact with residents, care staff, nurses, and physiotherapists. The opportunities to plan and follow up on implemented measures in the daily lives of the residents are great as the position is solely based in one facility.

Job Description

In your role as an occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments, interventions, documentation, as well as guidance and training of care staff, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

You should enjoy working flexibly, challengingly, and in a team-based environment. The role includes a certain degree of activity responsibility. Together with the operations manager and activity representatives, both recurring weekly activities and temporary visits such as music entertainment, visits from horses from a nearby riding school, and seasonal activities such as gingerbread baking, crayfish parties, Easter crafts, and gardening will be planned.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. As a person, you are responsible, independent, and humble with the ability to prioritize and lead others. You enjoy mentoring staff in health and medical care issues and are motivated to organize care in the best way together with other staff in the facility.

You have a genuine interest in the target group and are driven to create meaningfulness in the daily lives of each individual.

Requirements

• Licensed occupational therapist
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience working in private care
• Driving license B
