Job Responsibilities
You will play a central key role with broad responsibility and several contact points both internally and externally. You will be the customer's natural contact regarding troubleshooting, inspections, service, technical proposals, spare parts, advice, etc. Internally, you will have support from functions within project management, technology/design, purchasing, and sales. If necessary, you will also lead assembly resources and liaise with external workshops and component suppliers.
You will have a unique opportunity to connect deep theoretical knowledge with practical observations and analyses. Examples of common tasks include establishing testing programs, conducting tests/measures, and commissioning completed deliveries, such as hydraulic systems and sensors/guards, as well as measuring and analyzing the turbine's dynamic behaviors in general. Writing reports and conveying substantiated recommendations to the customer is also an important part of the job.
You will be part of a Nordic organization with close collaboration with colleagues in the rest of Sweden and Norway, to best serve our customers and their hydropower plants. We also collaborate with our colleagues in Finland, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Therefore, travel is common in this position, although this role will primarily operate within central and southern Sweden. A guideline may be 3-4 travel days per week, but both the number of travel days and working hours vary, and long days at facilities also give you the opportunity for longer periods of leave to create a balance between work and private life.
You will be a key success factor in our projects by building strong collaborations, engaging in technical dialogues, contributing to the bidding process for new projects, and ensuring that reporting and documentation are carried out efficiently throughout each assignment.
Are you the one we are looking for?We prefer that you are a civil engineer or a university engineer with a relevant focus or have equivalent experience from a similar position within hydropower and electricity production. Experience in the industry, machine types, and registered measurements is an advantage. We also value personal qualities, so if you are the right person with a strong interest in learning, you are highly interesting to us. A background in automation and electrical design is also advantageous. You speak and write Swedish fluently and have very good knowledge of English. Furthermore, you need to have very good general computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
As a person, you are curious about new and advanced technical solutions. You have an interest in problem-solving and the ability to work independently and methodically. You need to be analytical, proactive, and meticulous. Since you will be in contact with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, we see that you are an open and warm person who can contribute to good relationships.
Through this assignment, we offer an exciting and varied everyday life where you get the chance to become an important key person in the work with service and renovation of hydropower turbines. You will also have the opportunity to develop in a role with a lot of customer contact and great opportunities to influence.
We work for an equal and inclusive work environment and believe that diversity contributes to innovation and development and creates successful teams. Therefore, we welcome people with different backgrounds and perspectives to apply for the current position.
