JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In work within preschool and primary school/adapted primary school, you will be tasked with helping children/students develop both academically and emotionally. This lays the foundation for lifelong learning. Within this area, you can work as a childcare worker, student assistant, or unqualified educator.

Working in elderly care and geriatric psychiatry involves working in a team with various professionals. The tasks consist of different types of assistance in varying degrees, such as care, personal hygiene, transfers, cleaning, laundry, shopping, escorting, and activities like walks, etc.

Night work in elderly care means working in a smaller team where you often perform your tasks alone. You will also have close cooperation with the night nurses from home care. The tasks consist of various assistance measures in varying degrees. Examples of tasks include care, personal hygiene, transfers, supervision, and more. The services in elderly care can be performed both in special accommodation or in the individual's private home with the help of home care services. The work also includes ongoing documentation.

In the meal service, our goal is to, together with other staff, make the meal a holistic experience! To achieve this goal, you will work with all tasks in a kitchen: preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for children, students, and the elderly. Ordering goods from suppliers and portioning food in the dietary software Matilda are other tasks that are part of creating an experience for those who eat the food we serve. You will also have the opportunity to work with cooking as well as handling and serving special diets.

In the work within disability care, you provide support, social services, and care to the user in their daily life situation according to social legislation. You work in LSS accommodations such as group housing, service housing, and personal assistance.

The tasks within neuropsychiatry include support, care, and guidance measures based on an individual plan. The work is done in teams, but part of the working hours is allocated for solo work. You work to meet the child/youth at their level of development and functioning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preschool and Primary School/Adapted Primary School: For work in the Child and Education sector, you should have a recognized education at the high school level. You should be good at expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Additionally, you should be good at building relationships and be a secure and creative person. You enjoy working with children and youth and put their needs at the center.
• Elderly Care/Geriatric Psychiatry/Night Patrol: You see people as individuals and want to strengthen their own resources. You enjoy working in a team but are not afraid of solo work. You are responsible, service-oriented, stress-resistant, and attentive. A good attitude towards others is very important. You have a diploma from a training program as a nursing assistant or have experience in care and support work. You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have computer skills.
• Disability Care/Neuropsychiatry: You see people as individuals and want to strengthen their own resources. You are meticulous, stress-resistant, and flexible, seeing the whole picture while focusing on the individual meeting. You are passionate about helping others. It is an advantage if you have education in the field or work experience as a personal assistant or treatment assistant.
• Meal Service: It is important that you understand that what we eat is a crucial part of how we experience our lives and our days. You are quality-conscious, both regarding what we produce and how we do it. You enjoy working in a team and being helpful to others. It is an advantage if you have education in nutrition and work experience in a kitchen.
