As a QEHS Manager with us, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for planning, executing, and controlling all QEHS-related activities at our facility in Stenungsund. You will work to continuously ensure that these activities comply with our internal and external guidelines, while we welcome your contributions to improving our current processes and routines.

Your main responsibilities as a QEHS Manager will include:

• Initiating, developing, executing, and monitoring QEHS activities to ensure compliance with current and emerging guidelines, both within the organization and at the national level.
• Being responsible for all aspects of the permitting process; preparing and providing permits for expansion and modification of the facility when new legislation or material classification requires it.
• Communicating the organization's goals and results as well as KPIs, both internally and externally.
• Acting as a key person for the facility's QEHS work, maintaining good communication with Grace's internal operations and external stakeholders, such as local authorities.
• Being responsible for maintaining our management systems, including participating in internal and external audits.
• Creating and conducting appropriate training/activities for employees within the local operation to increase engagement and knowledge within QEHS.
• Being responsible for significant parts of our systematic work environment efforts, which involves investigating QEHS-related risks or incidents within the organization through collaboration. Performing risk assessments, documenting, and implementing follow-up actions.
• Being responsible for our quality control and laboratory operations with personnel responsibility for a group of Laboratory Engineers and an EHS Engineer.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master's degree in Safety Engineering, Risk, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process, Process Safety, or equivalent. It is advantageous, but not required, if you can demonstrate additional certifications in safety, quality, risk, process safety, sustainability, and environmental work in workplaces.
• At least 5 years of experience in QEHS management, including personnel responsibility, within the process industry.
• Experience working with Process Safety.
• Good knowledge of permitting requirements within QEHS.
• Experience working with ISO standards.
