Are you an operational and confident accounting economist with leadership skills, ready to take full responsibility for the finance function in a growing company? Then this could be your next challenge!

We are looking for a Head of Accounting for a temp-to-perm recruitment – where you will be a consultant via Newr for the first 6 months, with the intention of then transitioning to a permanent position with the client.

You will step into an entrepreneurial-driven company with strong growth and be responsible for operationally leading the financial work in the group. The organization has recently brought the bookkeeping in-house from an external agency, and you will be a key person in further developing and stabilizing the finance function.

• Operational responsibility for accounting and monthly financial closing
• Gradually bring the accounting for the last subsidiary in-house from an external agency
• Lead and support a small team consisting of an accountant and a finance assistant
• Annual financial statements and group financial statements (K3)
• Structure and improve financial processes, including inventory reconciliations and cash flows
• Participate in financial analyses related to growth and potential acquisitions
• Reporting to the CEO and the board

You are a senior accounting economist or head of accounting with operational experience. You are confident in your skills and have a structured and solution-oriented approach.

We would like you to have:

• Several years of experience in accounting from start to finish
• Experience with K3 and group accounting
• Experience with inventory accounting is a plus
• Familiarity with systems – preferably from Visma.net or Pyramid
• Previously worked in a small to medium-sized company where you were close to the operations
• Experience from food, retail, or consumer products is a plus

The company has its headquarters in modern premises in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, and the work is based in the office. It is a workplace with close collaboration, short decision-making paths, and an entrepreneurial culture. Here, you work on-site – with some flexibility when needed – but the role requires presence in the office.
