The Challenge

As a test development engineer, you will be a key person at Kitron. The role involves working on advanced development of production test systems for electronics-based products.

In the role of test developer, you will be involved in Design for Test analyses in product development projects, both internally and in customer development projects. Furthermore, you will work with test strategies, defining the best testing methods for products to be produced and tested.

You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs and drive the project/assignment forward.

Some specific tasks included in the role are:

• Functional testing in Boundary scan or Flying Probe
• Reviewing schematics and PCB layout for test systems
• Software testing
• Verification and validation
• Documentation of test systems and test instructions
• Implementing and productionizing customer-owned test systems
• Supporting other test technicians and production staff with test issues

Who are you?

We believe that you either already have a background in testing or that you currently work with electronics/development but are naturally drawn to the quality assurance aspects of the development cycle and are constantly fascinated by testing and the frameworks for it.

As the communicative problem solver you are, you have the ability to see the big picture, maintain a quality focus, and work with the small details. To thrive in the role, we believe you are a goal-oriented person driven by tackling problems. You are good at listening and making complex decisions that drive progress.

We also see that you have the following qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Relevant experience in electronics/programming
• Technical competence
• Component knowledge

Preferred if...

• Experience with LabVIEW
• Previous experience in testing/test development
