Welcome to the Orthopedic Department!

Our department provides care around the clock with approximately 70 employees, and during peak season, we have up to 42 beds available. Our department is divided into three sections; in the elective section, patients with scheduled surgeries such as hip/knee replacements, back, shoulder, and foot surgeries are cared for. The ortogeriatric section cares for the oldest and most ill orthopedic patients. The acute section cares for acutely admitted orthopedic patients.

We are three unit managers responsible for each section.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the staffing manager, you will handle both acute staffing and long-term scheduling of nurses and nursing assistants in the orthopedic department.

Your tasks include, among other things, building schedules upon hiring, writing appointment decisions, establishing and denying absences, reviewing leave requests, and compensation levels, on behalf of the manager. You will also support employees with scheduling questions, scheduling, and advice in Heroma self-service. As a staffing assistant, you need to manage tasks simultaneously and quickly switch from one task to another.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant with experience in administration, or other education and experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You have good computer skills and preferably experience in personnel administrative work with scheduling and staffing planning. Experience with Heroma is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You have a holistic perspective regarding the needs of the operation, and you have the ability to see the overall workflow and can prioritize and manage many issues simultaneously.

As a person, you are structured, service-oriented, and have a trust-building approach to work. You have the ability to drive your own work and create good relationships with your colleagues. You are not afraid to assign shifts and see scheduling as a creative and interesting challenge.
